Kraken accepted approximately $28,000 from my U.S. bank, created a complete disaster when I updated my residency from the U.S. to Brazil, locked me out because its system rejected my valid CPF, dragged me through 30+ messages and at least seven support representatives, THEN, AFTER THAT WAS SOLVED AND TOOK TWO WEEKS, has now closed my account while repeatedly canceling my attempts to withdraw approximately $23,000—without explaining why.

This is beyond “bad customer service.” It is absolutely disgraceful.

Simple timeline:

I transferred approximately $28,000 from my own U.S. bank account to my own Kraken account.

Kraken accepted the money and placed it under an approximately seven-day ACH hold.

Because I had moved from the United States to Brazil, I honestly informed Kraken and requested that my residency be updated. I was trying to follow their compliance rules correctly.

I submitted everything they requested: Brazilian identification, CPF information, residency documentation, screenshots, and additional information through their secure forms.

After Kraken changed my account from the U.S. to Brazil, its system suddenly rejected my completely valid 11-digit CPF as “invalid.”

I was then locked out of an account containing tens of thousands of dollars because of Kraken’s own technical or verification failure. They took away every way of contacting them. I could only send e-mails.

Ticket #22419116 was created and supposedly sent to a “specialist team.”

Since then, I have exchanged more than 30 messages and dealt with at least seven different Kraken representatives: Nyx, Grace, Cara, Luise, Maddy, Citla, and Cris.

Every response was basically the same useless corporate garbage:

“The relevant team is reviewing it.”

“The case has been escalated.”

“No further action is required.”

“We will contact you when there is an update.”

“There is no estimated completion date.”

THAT TOOK TWO WEEKS. I was begging to talk to someone, I uploaded every document they needed. I just wanted to help with the process.

One representative admitted that Kraken had no specific information showing anything was wrong with my CPF or documents. Yet Kraken still kept me from accessing my own money.

Now the situation has become even worse.

Kraken has NOW closed my account. OUT OF NOWHERE.

My account has now been closed, and every time I attempt to withdraw my remaining funds, Kraken cancels the withdrawal without providing any explanation.

Approximately $23,000 is still trapped in this mess.

Kraken apparently had no problem accepting my $28,000. But returning my money has somehow become impossible.

They have also removed my ability to call anyone. I cannot reach a responsible person by phone, and they take an absurd amount of time to answer messages. When they finally respond, I receive another generic statement from another representative who takes no responsibility and provides no actual solution.

What kind of financial company:

Accepts approximately $28,000 from a customer;

Breaks the customer’s access during a legitimate residency update;

Forces the customer through 30+ support messages;

Passes the case between at least seven representatives;

Provides no deadline;

Closes the account;

Cancels every withdrawal attempt;

Refuses to explain the cancelations;

And removes the customer’s ability to call anyone?

This is an appalling level of incompetence.

I am not asking Kraken to continue doing business with me. They closed the account. Fine. Then send me my money.

Kraken does not get to close my account and simultaneously prevent me from withdrawing the funds inside it. If Kraken no longer wants me as a customer, it needs to return every dollar immediately—not cancel my withdrawals and disappear behind an email ticket.

I have screenshots of the balances, withdrawal cancelations, CPF error, ticket number, documents submitted, and support conversations. I can document this entire nightmare.

I am completely at the mercy of emails.

Kraken removed my ability to call anyone. There is no live conversation, no accountable representative, and no way to reach the department supposedly handling my case. I can only send emails, wait an absurd amount of time, and hope that eventually someone responds.

When they finally answer, it is usually another useless template response saying that the “relevant team” is reviewing the case. Then I wait again while approximately $23,000 of my money remains inaccessible and Kraken continues canceling my withdrawals without explanation.

They control my account, they control whether my withdrawals are approved, they control when they answer, and they have removed every immediate method of contacting them. I am left completely at their mercy—sending email after email while nobody takes responsibility.

That is an absolutely terrifying position for any financial platform to put a customer in.

Kraken PLEASE

1. Stop canceling my withdrawal attempts.
2. Release all remaining funds immediately.
3. Provide the exact reason every withdrawal was canceled.
4. Assign one competent human being to ticket #22419116.
5. Give me a working way to speak directly with someone who has authority to resolve this.
6. Confirm in writing how and when my money will be returned.
