I just submitted a Bitcoin Core pull request implementing the BIP 54 soft fork (Consensus Cleanup), without mainnet activation.

Hi everyone, i'm sharing this milestone because i believe it marks a natural point for the broader community to start discussing a possible future activation.

Mike Schmidt's BIP54.org website collects a bunch of information about the proposal. The technical specifications are available from the BIPs repository, as usual.

I'm curious what people here think about this.
